Sally Wolf won Artist of the Year in 1991/92, the year she sang both Mimì and Lucia. Listen to her incredible coloratura duet with the flute solo of Scott Goff from Lucia’s Mad Scene (Bruce Ferden conducts the Seattle Opera Orchestra). Wolf, who made her Seattle Opera debut as Gilda in 1988, has also sung the Queen of the Night, Baby Doe, Gretel, Donna Anna, Alice Ford, Norma, and a trio of high sopranos in Rossini comedies: Clorinda in “La Cenerentola,” Elvira in “L’italiana in Algeri,” and Berta in “The Barber of Seville.” She even sang the famous Valkyrie cry of “Hojotoho,” as Helmwige in our 2009 RING.
