Mary Elizabeth Williams won Artist of the Year in 2011/12 for her mainstage debut, as Serena in “Porgy and Bess.” As a member of the Seattle Opera Young Artists Program, she sang Donna Elvira in “Don Giovanni.” She mourns her murdered husband Robbins in the famous aria, “My man’s gone now.” John DeMain conducts the orchestra of Seattle Opera.
