The 2011 Young Artists Program
Don Giovanni starred several fantastic singers who have gone on to great things on the Seattle Opera mainstage, including Marcy Stonikas, Andrew Stenson, and Erik Anstine, who sang his remarkable Leporello on the mainstage in 2014. For this final Young Artists show in Bellevue's Meydenbauer Theatre, Artistic Director Peter Kazaras set Mozart's dramedy in a 1950s Fellini-esque Mediterranean city, with extensive use of projections; Connie Yun's brilliant lighting furthered the experiment. This production was the only Seattle Opera
Don Giovanni to include the Zerlina-Leporello duet, "Per queste tue manine."
