One of the most ambitious operas ever tackled by the Young Artists Program was Strauss’s masterpiece
Ariadne auf Naxos. Because the pit at Bellevue’s Meydenbauer Theatre was too small, the orchestra was onstage and the singers performed on a set built around them.
