Thomas Hayward, Dorothy Warenskjold, and William Wildermann joined forces for Gounod’s
Faust, still one of the world’s most popular operas in those days. This French grand opera presented a big challenge for chorus; the volunteer chorale of Seattle Symphony, who had been fulfilling Seattle Opera’s chorus needs, was amplified by an auxilary chorus for
Faust.
