For a special holiday treat in December of 1973, Seattle Opera, in partnership with Seattle Public Schools, presented three performances of Britten’s Noye’s Fludde at the Opera House starring some 350 elementary school children. “The absolutely massive operation is a miracle of cooperation between professional and amateur musicians, dancers, singers, and artists,” wrote the Seattle Post-Intelligencer.
