Ute Vinzing, who sang many roles in Seattle, performed Brünnhilde during our third
Ring summer. Other notable singers included the Hagen of Simon Estes (who would go on to be a Wotan for the Met) and, for the English-language cast, Raimund Herincx as Wotan. Herincx had also sung the role in Porter’s translation for English National Opera.
