Seattle Opera's memorable production of Debussy’s only completed opera featured sets by Seattle’s beloved Dale Chihuly, the eminent glass artist. Chihuly created glass designs that were then realized by Margie Jervis and Seattle Opera Scenic Studios. The cast included Malcom Walker as Pelléas, Sheri Greenawald as Mélisande, Michael Devlin as Golaud, Sheila as Nadler as Geneviève, and Kenneth Cox as Arkel; Gerard Schwarz conducted and Neil Peter Jampolis directed (and designed lights and costumes).
