Seattle Opera’s only production of was sung in the English translation by Yveta Synek Graff, instead of the original Czech, for the sake of the many children onstage and in the audience. This beautiful ‘cycle-of-life’ story, inspired by a newspaper cartoon, charmed audiences young and old.
