This new American opera moves from loss to recuperation, paralysis to flight, as the protagonist ultimately embraces her life and the creative force of love and family. A deeply personal and relatable story, truly tied to Seattle Opera. Both mezzo soprano Kate Lindsey, in the title role, and Director and Author of the story, Stephen Wadsworth, won Artist of the Year for their work on this remarkable production. The production was carefully chronicled on
Seattle Opera Blog.
