German soprano Christiane Libor made her U.S. operatic debut at Seattle Opera on Saturday, October 13, 2012 in the role of Leonore in Fidelio. Here, in an excerpt from her act one aria "Abscheulicher!", she prays for hope to illumine her goal, no matter how far it may be; then, in the fast movement, declares that "A wife's love for her husband drives me on and makes me strong."
