Jonathan Miller directed Seattle Opera’s remarkable 2006 Così fan tutte, which set Mozart’s comedy squarely in contemporary Seattle. Instead of coming back disguised as ‘Albanians,’ the soldiers returned as rocker-dudes from Federal Way. Two terrific casts gave extremely personal readings of this psychologically fascinating comedy.
