A sumptuously-costumed Rigoletto in January of 1982 starred Northwest native Kaaren Erickson. Frederick Guthrie, familiar as a Wagner baddie in the Ring, sang Sparafucile, and Seattle’s beloved Archie Drake thundered down the curse as Monterone.
