When male soprano David Korn auditioned for the Young Artists Program, Seattle Opera programmed Britten's spooky ghost story,
The Turn of the Screw--which usually features a boy soprano as Miles. With a (boyish-looking) adult in the role, the production was able to explore the complex characters in greater depth than is sometimes possible. Strong Young Artists in every role, and expert direction by YAP Artistic Director Peter Kazaras--himself a famous Peter Quint--made this production one of the program's most memorable achievements.
