This delectable Strauss-Hofmannsthal confection came to Seattle Opera for the first time in a lovely period production by Austrian wunderkind Bruno Schwengl and conducted by Seattle's beloved Hermann Michael. Schwengl's dazzling commedia dell'arte costumes survived into the 2015 production of this great opera.
