This summer Seattle Opera produced both its Ring and Tristan und Isolde; Ute Vinzing and Edward Sooter did double duty as Brünnhilde/Isolde and Siegmund/Tristan, quite a feat for both of them! Finnish tenor Pentti Perksalo joined the Ring cast as Siegfried, with Elliot Palay in the English cast. Oskar Hillebrandt sang Alberich, while Malcolm Rivers took a break, and Anthony Raffell joined the Seattle Opera team as Gunther.
