One of the earliest operas yet presented by Seattle Opera, Pergolesi’s brilliant 1733 comedy La serva padrona was taken around the state in the fall of 2006 by the Young Artists, in a wacky production by YAP Artistic Director Peter Kazaras. It was sung in English (as “The Maid Turned Mistress”) and accompanied by piano.
